Failure - totally, and utterly, as they say. It was Saturday of last weekend, in Inverness. Took a while before I registered this camera in the glass case. Was preoccupied examining newer stuff. Glanced at this one, "Huh, just a cheaper version of my old first camera of decades back." Eventually I clocked the price... double take, "Wow!" Pause. "Hold on, surely can't be the camera, lens and case? Or it's knackered."

It was the real deal. All working, albeit requiring everything set manually. Lens is the basic crappy kit lens of the day, with a fair sprinkling of dust within. Metering works, and batteries for it were new. There was even a film loaded! I still have three manual K-mount lenses kicking about somewhere.

Cost for it all? There was twenty percent discount on the original price, which took it down a smidgen. Resistance is futile? Naw. Resistance was nonexistent. Had just sold the Zeiss 35mm film camera that week, and a couple of lenses... only to gain some more gear. A lot of gain for eight quid.
