A New Friend

Maisie the Labradoodle went socialising this evening. We drove out into the country to have Christmas drinks and nibbles at friends on their vineyard. She went for a walk in amongst the grapevines and made friends with Hugh, the son of the house. It was hot out in the country but we did not get to the predicted high of 36C. 27C was our maximum... a lot less than the stifling heat in areas to the south of Marlborough. Although it is a heat wave here in New Zealand we really feel for those experiencing extreme temperatures in Australia.
