Cake

A few weeks ago I baked two fruit cakes then carefully "watered" them weekly (as blipped here) in preparation for our celebrations last weekend. One was all gobbled up on Saturday afternoon. To the delight of my husband, however, one was untouched so he gets to eat it all on his own - I don't like fruit cake. I photographed Cake 2 outside tonight to take advantage of the natural light.

In other news it was a good - if long - day at work. One of my PhD students successfully defended his thesis at his viva, and I came home to a very nice letter from my employer to tell me that I have been promoted :-)
