Many hands make light work
Choosing a photo today was nearly impossible.
We had a lazy morning and slept till 10. Then a late breakfast and hung around the house until lunch.
After lunch we helped Laci's grandmother make Csipetke which is a type of very small pasta used in soup or to go with Hungarian stew. You have to pinch off small pieces from larger bits. It's repetitive but relaxing work and it was a bit cooler in their house so that was good. The thermometer outside read 41 degrees at 2pm and 37 at 7.30pm.
At about 4 we cycled to the hill which is about 4 or 5 km away to check for ragweed on their field of trees as you can be fined if you have lots. There was some but not a lot. The view of a patchwork of sunflower, corn and wheat fields was beautiful. A possible blip.
The lizard on the walk up the hill was another possible blip.
Then we went to fill up some bottles from the water pump as it is mineral water from a spring. We had a mini water fight and by that I mean I got L lots! The comically painted pump like a face, butterfly and hornets were all other blips.
On the cycle home a flock of pigeons made another nice blip.
When we got to L's grandparents' house his grandmother was making more pasta. In total she made today with help from us 22 eggs worth of pasta. We settled down to help her before dinner. I took some photos of the pasta as a memory of my first pasta making experience. It was a really nice one.
Took a photo of beautiful cactus buds which will flower tonight another bliptunity.
Late evening cycle to the Danube with L and his mum. Beautiful full moon reflection on the river meant I used the rest of my battery playing around with different aperture and shutter settings trying to get a decent picture. It didn't work and meant I missed out on the last to bliptunities of the day.
A young guy with a beer on a bicycle which was underwater in the Danube and the cactus flower.
What a busy but wonderful day. This wasn't anywhere near the best picture I took but I love it.
Edited to add that L's grandmother said that you have to make enough of this pasta for 200 -300 people if you are having a wedding in one region of Hungary!!! Must take months.
I also caught up on all my back blips today! Yay me and I hope not to have to do that again for a while.
