Mrs M Sunday surprise

This morning Mrs M surprised me with a suggestion that we make an unplanned trip to Dartmoor. No sooner said than done food and drink were packed and off we went. When we arrived at the east side of the moor it was hammering it down with rain but a drive across over to the west of the moor found a clear sky. We had a lovely walk over to the Windypost and around the leat before returning to the car to eat our packed lunch.
Afterwards we paid a visit to the Highmoor Centre which had been refurbished since our last visit and was looking very good.
Still not satisfied Mrs M was ready to do our favourite climb to the top of Hookney Tor before we drove home.  The wind was so strong on the top and we were caught in the rain on the way down. but we have had a wonderful day.
