Rain or shine

As the rain lashed sideways over the tops of the stone walls as I came back in the car from Ilkley this afternoon, I thought back to my snatched morning cycle ride in the early sunlight.  I hadn’t considered this view for a photo but, shouting at me as I rounded the bend out of Otley, how could I not stop to take it in?  The sun, just rising above the Chevin, was soon hidden by clouds. 

But I’d found my moment.

Rain or shine, I’d find it hard to love another place more.
