Hello Space Boy

Spent a lovely 15 minutes in the garden, drinking tea, setting the camera up for ISS fly over.  I knew it was probably too light to catch it - it rose in the west around 4.44pm and it wasn't really dark.

So, after waving at 6 men in a very large space craft in low Earth orbit, travelling at 17,150mph, I turned my camera to the moon.  I went artistic rather than accurate as frankly, I really couldn't be bothered sliding the roof off the observatory, fighting through the spiders and cobwebs and aligning the scope for lunar photography.  It's too cold and I am not well enough to be doing that sort of nonsense.

Will try again tomorrow - it comes over at 17.28, rising in the West, setting in the SouthEast around 17.33.  It's a medium altitude pass - and will just skirt the constellation of Aquarius, which is my birthsign.  Fingers crossed that it isn't cloudy.
