Eagle and Child

Back in Oxford this morning for some last minute Christmas shopping in the wind and rain. We parked near St John's College and I noticed the Eagle and Child pub opposite, frequented by JRR Tolkien and C S Lewis and more recently the location for an episode of Lewis.
The afternoon was spent on various motorways heading back up north with no accidents or road works causing massive traffic jams, just the usual very slow congested sections, which I would call a result.
