Costco's Orange Chicken
Costco has an orange chicken that is excellent. The quality of the chicken is top notch and the sauce is not sickeningly sweet. I stir-fry some onions and peppers in with it and yum....
For those who might try these, here is how I make them.
1) Put the frozen chicken in to a large flat pan with a little oil and gently fry at medium heat. regularly moving and turning them to get an even cook. Cook till golden brown.
2) Put the frozen sauce into a small sauce pan and gently heat on low or medium heat till sauce is hot. Once it's hot I put the heat down to low to keep it hot till the other items are ready.
3) Put loosely chopped bell pepper and onions in to another pan, or preferably a wok, with a dash of oil and some salt. Saute on medium to high heat, till onions are mostly translucent, or whatever your personal preference is.
I do all three steps at the same time. The chicken takes the longest. You want them to be nice and golden, and I like to get them as crispy as I can. Once the chicken is done I put everything into the wok, as you see above, and mix them up. Surprisingly good eats! And really great with your favourite beer.
