Edward Abbot Anderson 1832 - 1903

Outside the local sports centre there is this memorial. If you google him you get nothing but fortunately the local council put a plaque on the side that explained he was a lecturer in military topography at Sandhurst for 22 years. He took a keen interest in everything that appertained to the welfare of Camberley and Yorktown and was held in the highest esteem by the local community. Sadly nobody knows anything about him now and nobody looks at his monument as they rush past.
