The Rose

This rose was hanging down, under the weight of the rain, that has been falling for most of the day. What a contrast to yesterday, when it was sunny and 34 degrees c. 
The rain will be good for the garden though, and the lawn, which has been so dry it's turning yellow and  sounds crunchy when walked on.

I've pretty much got everything needed for Christmas Day, there's just the vegetables, and maybe some chocolate (which keeps mysteriously disappearing). I'll take the chicken out of the freezer on Wednesday, and put the sparkling grape juice in the fridge. Oh, and I must get some strawberries, too - it isn't Christmas without them!
