Ladybird Pupa

When I blipped the ladybird cycle a few days ago I missed this important stage because I couldn’t find one. There are plenty on the fennel and Angelicas now. Some creep into the tubular base of the leaves, where they are protected from the weather and predators, but other stay on the leaves in the open. I had to hold the leaves out of the way to get a decent shot.
