Face to Face

I rescued this damselfly from a cobweb by picking it off with my fingers. It repaid me by staying on my finger as I went inside for my camera, returned outside to the brighter light, fiddled with the settings and took a couple of shots.

Blue damselfly, Austrolestes colensonis, a native of New Zealand.
