Wild rose

The wild roses have started to bloom in Colinton Dell. Here's one I spotted on my cycle home from work today.

Many thanks for all of your wonderful comments on yesterday's blip. I don't know how long it took my great grandfather to walk from Edinburgh to Thurso all those years ago. Maybe my mother will add a comment here if she remembers?
