burning down

I think I know what I want for christmas/birthday: the "nifty 50" Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. Or really any lens faster than 3.5. Canon 1.4 would be SWEET.. but I just don't see it happening.

In any case, my clunky 28-135 and the 18-55 without IS aren't cutting it for these inevitable low-light, macro-ish shots I keep having to resort to at the end of the day...
