TINY TUESDAY

I had an early hospital appointment this morning and fortunately we managed to park with no trouble.  On the way there though, it made me realise how impatient people are, and more so at this time of year.

A car had broken down in the lane leading to the hospital - on a very busy road - and it obviously belonged to a nurse and her friend.  I say “obviously” because they were both wearing their uniforms and on their way to work.  A man was trying to help them get out of the traffic flow and yes, someone behind us felt it necessary to start leaning on their horn and blasting for all he or she was worth.

How often do we do this - not only in the car, but in other ways too - just because things don’t happen as quickly as we think they should?  Perhaps we all need to slow down and try and find ways of helping those who are struggling, rather than castigating them for getting in our way.  Just saying!

I saw these lovely little ornaments on the reception desk and asked if I could take a photograph - I think they qualify for Tiny Tuesday, as they were only about 4 inches high - and that is with their hats on.

Thank you for all your wonderful comments yesterday - let’s pray that Heidi responds to treatment and can be at home with her partner and two little ones for Christmas.

Patience is not
     the ability to wait…..
but
     the ability to keep
          a good attitude
               while waiting.
