Ready for some TLC.

My beloved work bike is all packed up in the car ready for its annual trip home over Christmas and a bit of TLC. Christmas is my time to service it without the pressure of having to need it next day or after a weekend.

Considering all the miles it does and all the abuse it is subject to such as riding through copious amounts of mud, being bashed about on trains, locked up in unsavoury parts of town, being left outside in the garden all year it gets just one wash and one tinker a year, which shows how reliable it is. Despite the year round neglect it is my fave bike and a faithfull old friend, which is why I always lug two Abus Granite locks around with me!!

This year it's getting a new chain, new sprocket and chainring and, as every year, some new oil in the hub. Considering the chain, sprocket and chainring have done well over 10,000 miles they don't owe me much!
