22 December is always a Big Day in Spain!....it is National Lottery day.....for the Fat One.....El Gordo.

The lottery, and the selection of the numbers, is a televised event.....and is watched in every bar up and down the country!.....from The Teatro Real Opera House in Madrid,

The numbers are 'sung out' by the children of St Ildefonso's School.

The big prizes today fell on the coastal Almeria town of Roquetas de Mar......where I'm sure they will be celebrating into the small hours!
