Industry by the estuary

Didn't find birds today, well not close ones anyway, so a view across the estuary looking at the local timber mill. Today, thank goodness, nothing is allowed to pollute the estuary and all the sawdust is carted away and that is only steam, no smoke allowed.
An extra of a view from the Kaiteriteri Road across towards the Riwaka Wharf. You see little snatches of scenes like this as you travel in the car but very few places to stop so today I made a point of figuring out a place as I went to Kaiteriteri and then stopped on the way back.Lots of things in the way such as gorse and pine trees but this little glimpse shows the tide was in and it was a balmy day. The smell of the native bush with it's sweet honey scent and the call of the tui reminded me so much of Christmas holidays.
