Kaitoke Hot Springs, The Barrier

It's a 40 minute walk into the Springs from the main road and worth every minute of the walk. My grandkids knew the best spot in the Springs, further up the creek than most people know about, where the hot pool is set amongst native bush. So beautiful! This view is looking downstream from the pool. We lolled in the pool for ages, just loving it. Walking out was a treat too, walking through an amazing nikau palm grove.
And now it's pouring with rain and we've got our fingers crossed that the tent doesn't leak!!!
