Focus

While I was on the bench during the JV game, I got to take a few pictures. I wanted a couple of shots of #44, Grace Elizabeth. Basketball is a tough sport to photograph - players are buzzing in and out of the focal area. So I got about four pictures of Grace, and this one, she's not in focus.

For me, that works. For starters, she's taking it hard to the bucket, and the focal length doesn't capture her completely in focus. But...you can read the passion and determination on her face.

Coaching is the weirdest possible game. I mean, once you think you have it figured out, something you've done, or haven't done, will pull the rug right out from under you. While we have been trying to focus on the positive, the negative vibe can completely submerge all of us. 

So, for the time being, I'll try to focus on the reason that brought us here...three granddaughters. One has moved on, the second is now playing, the third bides her time by filling our water bottles and keeping the balls rolling out. 

I'm not sure if any of that made any sense...maybe you have to be here to understand any of it.
