Mermaids

Hoping to see Santa we headed to Northland but stopped at the Mermaid Pools on the way. Some hard core climbing involved before we reached the pools and then some wading on the way back before Yoga on the beach for the ladies. We are staying at Paihia for the next few nights and will use it as a base to explore the Bay of Islands and the really far north - well as far north as this island gets. Dinner in a seafood eatery tonight and plans for Christmas day finalised - A BBQ lunch then Thai/Indian in the evening. It will be very different from our usual.
