Empty beach (Day 230)

The weather was fairly vile as my beautiful wife headed off to work. Luckily the rain eased for long enough for the dogs and I to get the morning walk done without getting soaked, though it was still fairly dark and difficult to see the dogs.
I headed for town to collect bits, then to Birsay for a little job before heading to Stromness to sort out another couple of jobs.
I was home in time for lunch with HV and a trip out with the dogs at the shore.
Lukearse chose the theme "empty" for the challenge today. The deserted beach and old cottage at Breckness were pretty empty, and the sky was massive as usual.
The extra shot today is just a shot across Hoy Sound. It looks a lot nicer than it was, standing up and holding the camera still was near enough impossible today.
If you haven't already done it, then you should really think about pledging to save the future of this great site. All the information is on the recent Blip Central journal entries.
