Waiting for the tide
A glorious, blue-sky sparkling day in Norfolk today, but accompanied by quite a cold wind on the coast. So we wrapped up warm for an afternoon walk.
This was taken at Blakeney, just as the sun was getting low.
The tide rises, the tide falls, The twilight darkens, the curlew calls; . . . . The little waves, with their soft, white hands, Efface the footprints in the sands, And the tide rises, the tide falls.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
