Mum

A sad day, for at 10am this morning, Mum passed away peacefully. Her partner Steve was at her side. She was 67 years of age.

Mum was diagnosed with a brain lymphoma in January this year. She was determined to live and went through four months of intensive chemotherapy which kept her, for the most part, in a hospital ward. Difficult for anyone, but particularly for my active and independent mum. In September she managed to visit me in Hampshire and in early October, she and Steve had a lovely few days at Dunwich in Suffolk. She also managed to have her grandchildren, Emily and Oliver, to visit for a family tradition of 'Saturday night tea'. Since then she steadily deteriorated.
