Long Legs the Short

For once, eldest son is not the tallest in the vicinity.

We were in Piccadilly Circus as we had just been to see 'The Railway Children' at the Kings Cross Theatre.

It must have been a good play because our 18 year olds waved at the train just as the toddlers and their parents did...

Anyway, the tall man above was an American man called Robert Wadlow who was 272cm tall and he died in 1940.

Our Turkish friend Ali told us at supper that the current tallest man in the world is Turkish, called Sultan Kosen, who is 33 years old and has size 60 feet.

Mine are size 39, eldest son (a.k.a. 'Long Legs) has size 52 feet.

If Sultans feet are size 60, I wonder what Robert's were. I bet they couldn't get football boots from Sports Direct. Long Legs buys the biggest they stock.
