Thistle

Afternoon walk up the mountain behind the house we are staying in for Christmas. The first section was full of prickly thistles to avoid. Once we were about halfway up the hill, we committed to climbing all the way to the top and scrambled up steep slopes and big boulders to get there. We had to avoid a couple of wombat holes along the way.

Once we got to the top, the view was amazing and we could see our accommodation as a tiny speck way below us.

We found a road to walk down, a whole lot easier than the scenic route we took to the top :)
