After effects.....

....of too much hot mulled wine maybe? 
A very willing station master offered to take a group photo. I didn't check it soon enough..... but we are all here, so here we are!

It was a lovely evening! Our carriage had a box of drinks, soft and alcoholic, and an assortment of mince pies, vol au vents, Genoa cake, quiche, ginger cakes and others I can't remember to enjoy on the journey. On arrival at Horsted Keynes, we were given a bag of hot roasted chestnuts and a glass of equally hot mulled wine. There were games to play and Santa to visit who was assisted by an 'I am not amused' looking Queen Victoria. (I have tried a collage, but it's taking tooooo long on , now, Christmas Eve as I post. I will return to try again after the rush. 

My friend's son did her proud with such a lovely birthday gift. Perfect for an occasion so near to Christmas.
