The Reason For The Season

This little ornament came into my collection just a couple of years ago. I found it in a very traditional German stall at the Christmas Market in Chicago.

While I love so much about Christmas - the lights, trees, decorations, Santa, gifts, food and entertainment, as a Christian, what is most important to me is the celebration of God sending his son into the world. The Nativity is only one chapter of the story which continues with the story of Easter - his death and resurrection and the offer of salvation.

So that is why I love this little ornament and give it a prominent place on my tree.
