Christmas in New Zealand
My concession to Christmas blips.
Blaze and I only ever had two real Christmas traditions. The first is that he received a box of scorched almonds, a bag of gold coins and a new toothbrush in his Christmas stocking. The second was that we have bacon and egg butties for breakfast.
Well I started the day with a scorched almond and then cleaned my teeth with the new toothbrush. I'm sure he would understand me foregoing the Gold coins as the chocolate in them just isn't nice!
Then I took a drive to Sailors Cutting (pictured), figuring it was a lovely spot to have my Christmas brunch. I had the obligatory bacon and egg butties but added in mushrooms as a treat. After all we can't be slaves to tradition can we?
It's now just after midday and is already 30 deg C. It's meant to cool down later - which will suit me fine!
I decided that this year my Christmas charity will be blip - after all it brings joy to many people and supports us in a giving community. So I've made my pledge to Blipfuture today.
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas. And if you can't be in the southern hemisphere enjoying the sun, at least stay warm. I'm about to find a piece of shade and pretend to be reading while I have a wee nap.
