Between fen and mountains

Food for eighty

We spent the day with the Salvation Army lending a hand. They did marvellously well to provide a superb lunch. Everything was home cooked, vegetable soup followed by turkey with all the trimmings with Christmas pudding or fruit salad and cream for pudding. There were also soft drinks, tea and coffee, crackers, mince pies and chocolates. Even the helpers got boxes of chocolates to take home. After the meal, there was a carol request singalong followed by the Queen's speech and then those attending all got a bag of presents to take home. The spirit of Christmas was definitely present!

A very happy Christmas to you all.
