Blow
Christmas day down here last year the weather was spectacularly good - brilliant sunshine, and warm. Lots of people out for a stroll, having BBQ's, drinking sparkly for breakfast, trying out the onesies and silly hats.
Not today - rain, wind, dreary. We abandoned the idea of a walk along the seafront and headed to the Priory, passing the flooded fields around the River Stour. Entered the church (one of the most beautiful in England) to Widor's Toccata. Excellent organist, playing us in - well, playing a very full congregation out, it turned out.
Back to J's Mum. She has Radio 2 on almost permanently during the day. I haven't heard Bernard Cribben's three wheels on my wagon, Bennie Hill's Ernie or Pinky and Perky in years. But why no Puff the magic dragon.
Hope you are having a good Christmas Day.
