I've always been privileged not to work on Christmas Eve. Today I felt privileged to take off 6:30am for work while the others stayed behind and slept in - live and learn. 

We finished the day early with caroling and eggnog. Back home, all the groceries shopping was done, all the pressies laid under the tree, the rice pudding "joulupuuro" was ready to be served and daughter A's gingerbreads on their way.
