Christmas Day dash to the sea
Its a local tradition to bathe in the sea at !0.00am in Budleigh. I went with a friend to watch the fun. The weather was appalling with high winds and rain, but the lifeboat was out to come to anyone's aid. As we approached the beach suddenly there was a dash to the sea as a large group ran in. This shot shows them a few minutes later, the extra photos show the run to the sea and our approach before the action started, you can just make out a large group of people in the distance beyond the boats.
Within five minutes the action was all over and people made there way off the beach heading for the warmth and comforts of home. We returned to celebrate the rest of the Christmas Day in the traditional manner.
Merry Christmas to you all.
