Christmas Morning Walk

A morning walk with Steve at Stanwick Lakes. We saw lots of birds - long tailed tits, linnets, grebes, and many different ducks. Standing stones, like this one pictured, are placed at various points along the paths to indicate where they have found archeological remains. The embossed symbols show items they have found and depict how it is imaged the settlements would have looked.

We returned and readied ourselves to visit my sister and her family for lunch. We had a splendid feast and personalised crackers made by my niece, Emily. I am now sitting relaxing and feeling rather sleepy for all the food I have consumed today!
