...taking Barb home ....We picked up our friend Barb and brought her over for Christmas day with Big R and myself....then after spending all day at our home we took her back to her home.  She lives about 40 minutes away to all in all about three hours intransit .  Kind of hard on her , but she really wanted to come to our place...see our decorations and share Christmas day.  It's been our long time tradition since her husband died in 1989.  Now it means loading up her wheelchair and a sturdy walker to use at our place.  But it all worked out and her wheelchair we got into the house ok too---we have a ramp we made for that.  
    It was a fine day with another friend ending up dropping over too for dinner with us and a visit and she also knew Barb.  So much conversation....some zzz's as Barb did get tired on and off.  Then after a nice long day we took her home.  It was quite cold out so we bundled her up well...here she is all ready to go in our car.  We treasure these precious times with her....just recently she lost her man friend Ben who she had shared her past three years with.  So life has been full of losses for her recently and maintaining getting her over to continue this holiday tradition was important to her even thougth transit wasn't easy.
