Boxing Day walk / mud bath
Today we sauntered / slid our way along our Boxing Day walk atop the valley peak. Aren't the seasons amazing. A beautiful walk in the summer through scented hedgerows along a bright green path, to today's mud bath. It was still wonderful and much fun, though once MCC had fallen over for the fourth time, we decided home may be called for.
The torrents of water falling down through the valleys from the moors above are thunderous. There is a deep grown in the earth below as water races against water to dash into the angry sea.
Down in the village we stood with old friends and watched as surfers rode the legendary barrel waves off Penny Steel. We marvelled at both their bravery and the beauty of the perfect tubular shape of the salty sea.
Returning home all were bathed as cold gave way to warmth and books and TV and intoxicating extra curricular activities took over. Boxing Day was made for such things.
A X
PS I ventured on to the Blipfuture site today & was thrilled to see we are a third of the way there. There's much further to go. To me a pledge at the very least is what I owe the site. It's been amazing and for far too long it's been free. In reality it was never free. It was going backwards & will soon wither away. Just maybe those brave souls who have committed so much time to keeping our blip plane in the air might succeed but not without us doing our bit.
