Boxing Day

When the flood siren sounded at 7.30 am this morning Julia and Sam, who had spent Christmas Day with us and were due to depart today, decided to leave for home before things got worse.  Their journey home to Congleton had to be via Keighley and Colne - a huge diversion - but I'm glad to say they arrived safely.     Polly dog - after a brief trip outside - decided to abandon the day and snuggle down into her bean bag.
