the last of the summer beetroot

We had a great Christmas Day - hope you did too.  

Now it’s leftovers for lunch with a winter salad made from the last couple of beetroot in the garden.  I’ve had my eye on them for a few weeks and have resisted pulling them up until now. 

The news from the North of England is very bad; I hope the weather lets up soon.
