Line Astern
This is the first time I've seen swans on Lake Padden since we moved to our home close to the park twelve years ago.
I think these are Tundra Swans, although they could be Trumpeters -- they were too far away for me to tell. Apart from the difference in size, the main distinguishing feature is that Tundras have a small yellow spot at the base of their bills, while Trumpeters bills are all black.
Another unusual happening for December 26 can be seen in my extra photo, although there will be a lot more people doing this on January 1st, as seen in this blip.
