Water water everywhere...........................!

Woken at 06:30 by water dripping through the bedroom ceiling.  Rain lashing down outside and a foray into the loft revealed a leak coming through by the chimney stack!  Plastic sheeting and towels seemed to stem the flow, but that will have to be dealt with once the rain stops - which could be sometime never according to the forecast!  Flooding all over the district and the village is cut off from the 2 nearest towns because of flood water,  We have 2 lakes in our front and back gardens, but that is nothing compared to the poor souls whose houses have been flooded.  It must be horrendous.  My blip (not very well photographed!) is one of my pressies from my daughter - a lovely travel wallet for the future journeys I may be making - hopefully to somewhere warmer and drier than the current weather here!
