On the road again...
Somehow, we managed to drag ourselves out of our bed after yesterday's late night, bid a tearful farewell to my uncle and aunt, and get ourselves on the road to our next destination.
We're spending the next few days taking a leisurely drive from Adelaide to Melbourne, stopping at various coastal towns along the route.
Tonight, our stopping-off point was Robe, about four hours south-east of Adelaide. It's a pretty small place, and as it turns out the B&B our friendly travel agent booked for us was the first house in Robe. Thankfully, they've modernised it a bit since then.
The latter part of our road trip could get interesting, though, as we're heading straight towards the big bush fires that have destroyed over 100 houses. We'll be heading down the Great Ocean Road, but it's currently closed and we may have to detour. We've another couple of days until we get there, though, so anything could happen. Coming from Ireland, the concept of a country that can catch fire is hard to grasp...
