A rose for Christmas
Our last full day with James and Katie, sadly they go home tomorrow. Jess, too, will be leaving us, to go back to Birmingham for a few days to see her friends. So after a very full house, Cathy and I will be back to cooking for just ourselves once again. How very strange.

If it was a Friday it could have been a flower Friday blip ...
We went to see the new Star Wars film this afternoon, which was an entertaining (if not particularly intellectually engaging) way to pass the time. The equivalent of the young female Luke Skywalker is to be applauded (nice to see a feisty female in a lead role).
Finally, yet another Christmas anagram as the extra ....
