Wet and wild
There was just no way to capture how wet I got on the way home today.
Before I left on my bike I checked the skies - make sure that more of the traditional Scottish summer wasn't ready to dump its wrath on me. It looked fine. I was without my jacket...
Amazing how things can change. Half way home, the Heavens opened.
After I decided it was in fact safe to cycle in thunder and lightening I gave up trying to stay dry and got very wet indeed. There were rivers where roads once were. There were lakes where crossing once stood.
At one point I put my foot down at a junction only to find said foot ankle deep in water.
Really, I was that wet that I might as well have rolled around in one of the giant puddles.
So, since I can't even start to do justice to a photo that shows how wet I was, I took this rubbish one of candles. Hunners of them. It was the mother-in-laws birthday cake. I thought the house was going to burn down... Thankfully the rain kept us safe.
