Drumelzier Law
An early Bank Holiday drive south along flooded roads and sodden fields, I arrived at the wee hamlet of Drumelzier, site of wizard Merlin's imprisonment.
Thence onto the hills for a wee romp through the snow and heathery bogs over three Donalds:
o Pykestone Hill (737m) - domed mass topped by a trig point and narrow views
o Middle Hill (716m) - indiscriminate grassy mound crossed by a fence line
o Drumelzier Law (668m) - wonderfully independent hill with grand views up and down the Tweed valley
Back to the car by 11:15am (15km), a stop in the Broughton Village shop for some local produce, and home in time for lunch.
