Day 362. Damaged Red Kite.

Exploring a little of the Chilterns this morning and was told of this mysterious tailless raptor flying with the Red Kites. Well, luckily it showed up and I managed to get this shot. It is indeed a Red Kite. No idea what would have done the danage, but the bird seemed to be very capable of soaring and presumably hunting prey....... Right place, right time, wrong lens. But then the best lens is the one you have on your camera for this type of shot, no chance to change.
