Drippy

Another day with just a single photograph taken. It scarcely bothered to get light and rained steadily for most of the day, making it an ideal day to catch up with lots of sorting and labelling of photographs and plant records. I must admit that after several days of 'relaxing' I'm always ready to get back to some 'work'! 

I feelso sorry for all those affected by the devastating floods in Yorkshire and Lancashire. We seem to have had an awful lot of 'unprecedented' events - when will the government get the message that a complete shift in thinking about flood protection is required, including means of holding water for longer in the upper catchement and making low-lying properties more resilient? Extreme and unpredictable weather is part and parcel of climate change, but for some reason those in power in the UK seem unwilling to take this on board.
