My mate Jo
Ive had a good day at work today for a change. I managed to get loads done especially as I'm in Milton Keynes again tomorrow morning presenting an investment paper to panel for one of my projects.
The only downside today was I spoke to a scheme project manager (he doesnt work for me) about one of his Projects which is very political. He was telling me he has had not any support or help from his project manager or programme manager and he feels isolated and under extreme pressure. He said he has lost half a stone in weight because of stress and he is only 24. I told him that I will help him and support him through this project as its not right that he is under so much stress. I also told him that delivering projects doesn't get any easier and that he must learn in his own way to deal with stress and to switch off from work when he isn't there. I think he will learn a lot from this project and I hope it doesn't put him off being a project manager as I think he will become a very good one.
I went round one of my best mate jo's tonight as I haven't saw her since before she told me she was pregnant (pic). It didn't take long until she asked if I could rip up the carpet in the spare room as the decorator is going round tomorrow to start decorating the baby's room. It nearly killed me as the wardrobes and other pieces of furniture were still in there. It was so nice to catch up tonight and she will definatly make a great mom.
