Goldie Lorax and the three courses

What a day of culture: high and low!

We maxed out our membership cards and did both exhibitions at Tate Britain: Artist and Empire (which included this stunning oil painting of a Maori chief by Charles Frederick Goldie) and Frank Auerbach. And enjoyed a fabulous three course lunch In the Rex Whistler restaurant in between.

Then on to the Old Vic to see The Lorax - a Dr Seuss extravaganza. Finally a dramatic welcome home: when we got in we found blood and feathers everywhere and a dead pigeon in the hall. God knows how Buster or Harvey got it through the catflap. Ugh... Poor thing.
