NZ Cabbage Tree.....

.....with many flower spikes of creamy white attracting the bees.

During my travels throughout NZ this spring/summer I've not seen one cabbage tree without a flower. They grow anywhere and come in all forms, some quite straggly while others are perfectly balanced. There's a saying, 'when the cabbage trees flower prolifically, a long dry summer awaits', guess time will tell.

A gorgeous morning, warm and calm as the day got hotter and hotter, 29C, maybe the long hot summer has arrived :)
